In 2025, Kazakhstan allocated a record 1.8 million hectares for oilseed cultivation — an increase of 480,000 hectares compared to 2024. Over the past five years, sunflower and flax fields have expanded by nearly 40%, while the area under traditional grains has decreased by 630,000 hectares.

This shift is driven by changing demand in the global market: European processors are seeking reliable suppliers of organic oilseeds. With its favorable natural conditions, Kazakhstan is increasingly becoming a competitive player in this sector.
By supporting this trend, Sun Seeds offers its partners both conventional and organic flax, sunflower, and rapeseed.
