In recent years, Kazakhstan has become one of the key suppliers of vegetable oils and oilseed meal on the global market. In 2024, exports of these products brought the country USD 562 million in revenue, while in 2025 export volumes exceeded 1 million tons. Processing capacity for oilseeds has doubled, growing from 300,000 tons in 2021 to 600,000 tons today.

Over the past four years, Kazakhstan has doubled its production of oils and meal and is now among the Top 3 suppliers of sunflower meal to the European Union.
